Vocabulary

redneck – countryside, usually white person, who has poor manners, and uneduacted. American countryside people

eg: Rednecks really like watching Nascar racing and drinking cheap beer.

segregation – when you separate people based on race or gender or any other factor

eg: Segregation was part of American history, it was a step towards more civil rights for black people, although it was helpful in the end it was still a wrong thing to do.

3/5 Three Fifths, One black male’s vote would count as 3/5 of one white male’s vote.

Civil Rights – Rights for everyone that are equal, everyone is treated the same way
