down – duck feathers as fabric or filling

eg: I have a comfy down blanket.

psychosomatic – changes to your mental state, like stress, can cause real physical changes. of or relating to a physical disorder that is caused by or notably influenced by emotional factors.

eg: Due to the constant worry of losing his job, Bob’s psychosomatic headaches would be cured when he stopped worrying.

torn – being pulled in different directions by two different things

eg: He was torn between his lifestyle and the teachings of the church.

identic memory – being able to remember everything perfectly after only seeing or hearing it once

eg: My sister has an identic memory.

20/20 – perfect vision

eg: Hindsight is 20/20.   (To know the solution after the problem). He should have done this…too late.

hindsight – seeing a situation after it happened

foresight – to see sth. before it happens.

eg: I had the foresight to book my ticket early because I knew they would be sold out.
