Vocabulary

I believe we evolved from another animal

The internet has evolved, now it is mostly for social media and shopping.

insult V. N. – something bad you say about another person or thing

eg: He insulted me, he said I was not a good worker.

eg: You should just ignore his insults.

compliment – something good you say about another person or thing

eg: You look nice today.    Thanks for your compliment

eg: Don’t compliment her too much, or it will go to her head.

go to someone’s head – when someone hears something good about themselves, so they think they are really really really great.

eg: Don’t let it go to your head, but this is maybe the best dinner I’ve ever had.

eg: She won the beauty contest and she let it go to her head too soon. She stopped exercising and putting on makeup, soon she got fat and lazy.

jogging – to run at a medium speed, for a long period of time

eg: I think jogging is a very good way for me to relax. As a bonus, it is good exercise.

sprinting – run as fast as you can

eg: I sprinted for about three blocks, then I got really tired.

eg: Sprinting is tiring.

needy – someone who needs a lot of attention

eg: Needy people should all hang out together.

isolate V. – to find the one thing, and get it away from all other things

eg: We still have not isolated the problem, so we don’t know how to solve it.

deserted – a place where all people have left

eg: What wold you do on a deserted island?

eg: There was a deserted Disneyland near Beijing, because they never finished building it.
