something/ some work came up – suddenly have something you need to do
eg: Sorry I didn’t come to class, something came up at work.
pick – to choose sth.
eg:Which phone did you pick? I picked my phone.
Phrasal Verbs:
pick up – 1. take something off the table or ground 2. Go somewhere to get someone, usually in your car.
eg: Pick up the cup.
eg: The taxi will pick me up in 10 minutes.
blow up – to become very angry
eg: I wanted to blow up, but I kept my cool.
keep your cool – stay calm, don’t get angry
eg: You should keep your cool when you want to blow up.
