accentuate – to give emphasis or prominence to.
accent N. – a detail that is emphasized by contrasting with its surroundings
contrast – a difference between two things, in the look or style, for example, light and dark are contrasting colors
eg: Applying some high contrast to cheek bones, bridge of the nose, the chin and the brow bones can add more depth.
depth – 3d space, height, width, depth
eg: Without depth a person’s face could look flat and plain.
plain – very simple, without design, or style, often only one color.
eg: I just want plain cheese pizza.
eg: Her style is so plain, but it works for her.
optical illusion – an image you see that tricks your eye
eg: Mimi Choi is a makeup artist who makes optical illusions.
