Vocabulary

aisle – the space between things, like in an airplane, in a store or movie theater, the place you walk between the seats or shelves.

eg:  I don’t like sitting near the aisle when I fly.

hall – space between two walls where you walk, usually with doors on the sides.

eg: Can you wait in the hall?

a good call – using judgement to make a difficult decision, often when you don’t know which decision to make.

eg: It was a good call to take the subway instead of riding a bike, because now it’s raining.

eg: Do you want the small box or the big box? Cassie. “I want the small one.”   Good call, the small box is full of money, but the big box is full of noodles.

Speaking exercise

I should go work next year, because I am a little short on dough.

My daughter is a real pain in the neck.
