How long does it take?   (What is total time)   It takes me about 3 or 4 hours to finish a painting and about 30 minutes for a sketch.

Don’t overdo it.   (don’t draw legs on a snake) don’t do too much.

Vampire – Xi xue gui, suck blood ghost.   An undead person who must drink blood to survive.

stroke order – which lines or parts should you write first.

eg: Learning the stroke order for Mandarin would be helpful.

Cantonese – Guang dong hua

Mandarin – Putong Hua

Vocabulary

Lotus –     Bloom V. (when a flower opens.)

There are many lotus flowers in hubei, and they bloom in the summer.

Root –    Edible (can eat)

Lotus root is edible.   Tree roots are not edible.

Fiber –    Contain V. (to have something within, or to keep something in)

Lotus root contains a lot of fiber.

Idiom

Laid back is an English idiom, it means you are relaxed and easy going.

eg: He is really laid back, he won’t be angry if we are late.

eg: She is laid back back, we can go shopping and have lunch together, and I always feel relaxed around her.
