Grammar

Which Vs. That – Just use THAT for most situation.

Which (can seem awkward)    The office which is at Jing an.

(Usually) we just use and ADJ to describe the thing.    The Jing an(ADJ) Office.

Coffee N.

Cup N.

Coffee ADJ.  Cup N.    (If you see tow N. together, then the first one is an ADJ)

Compound Sentence – Two or more independent parts.     AND, BUT, OR

We went to the store and saw my friend, but he didn’t see us.

We went to the store. (And) We saw my friend. He didn’t see us.

Complex Sentence – Two or more parts, One Independent, the other is Dependent (needs the first part, or it can’t make sense)

Borrow the subject from the first part, and use it in the second (dependent) part.

My mother likes dogs that don’t bark        That = Dogs

Running

I am running (V.) home now.

Running (N. )is good for you.
