smart ass – sarcastic person, always intentionally misunderstanding for a humorous effect, or just to be a jerk.

eg: Don’t be such a smart ass, this is serious.

intention – the thing you want to try or do

eg: It wasn’t my intention to get you fired. I didn’t intentionally try to get you fired.

loan – to give, and get back later

eg: You loaned me a book.

borrow – to take, and get back later

eg: I borrowed a book from you.

paraphrase – to say something in your own words.

eg: To paraphrase Steven Hawking, “We shouldn’t be looking for aliens, because they will be far more advanced than us.” I can’t remember the quote.

Paraphrasing:

Dress for the job you want, not for the job you have”

You need to change your outfit to look like the person you want to be.
