The west of China is more barren.

lush – full of green plants and living things

eg: Yunnan is the most lush place in China.

humid – moisture(wet) in the air

eg: Today is hot and humid.

take off – when a plane starts flying

eg: It was so hot, that planes couldn’t take off.
