rub off on someone – affect someone, by being near or around them often.
eg: Ivy is a really good student. Hopefully that will rub off on Lori one day, and she will finally get good grades in school. (Just an Example) (Ivy will make Lori a better student)
eg: Ivy rubbed off on me to getting up early. I’vy’s, getting up early, rubbed off on me. (Ivy’s habit of getting up early rubbed off on me)
bump into someone – to unexpectedly meet someone
eg: I always bump into people I know in Shanghai. Sometimes it seems like a small town.
eg: I don’t bump into anyone most of the time. Usually I don’t see people I know around town.
Grammar

Very Perfect Grammar Vs. Casual Grammar
Perfect: With whom one has spent a lot of time. (Very perfect grammar doesn’t like Prepositions at the end of a sentence.)
Casual: by someone one has spent a lot of time with. (Casual grammar can end a sentence with preposition.)
Perfect: May I please have that one?
Casual: Can I have that one?
Perfect: My friends and I will go to the club.
Casual: Me and my friends will go to the club. / My friends and me…
