I want to say tomorrow, but I say tomato. I always say the wrong word.

What? You can’t drink too much water. You mean I drink a lot of water?

Yes, it‘s raining now.
How did you know?

I knew because I was just outside.

No, I didn’t see any lightning.

= Equals

eg: 2 + 2 = 4 – Two plus two equals four.

Excessive = Too – guo yu

eg: Today is too hot. I wish it were cooler. = Today is excessively hot.

eg: You can’t have too much money.

eg: Yolanda is short, but not too short.

Air conditioner = A/C – Kong tiao

eg: Yesterday I turned on the AC.

eg: My skin is dry because I used the AC last night.
Yeah, the AC will dry out your skin.

eye drops – some stuff you put in your eyes, to make them less red and feel better

eg: If my eyes are very dry, I will use some eye drops.

tickle – touch someone to make them laugh

eg: Stop tickling your brother. He’s very ticklish. (ADJ)

eg: It always tickles when I get a foot massage.

bake – cook something in an oven

oven – kao xiang, a box that gets very hot inside, and you can cook with it.

bake – cook in an oven

eg: I will learn to bake bread with my friend.

Flour – a powder, made from wheat, or other plants. Often used to make bread.

eg: Flour in Chinese means bread powder.

Yeast – fa jiao

eg: Don’t put too much yeast in your bread. Or it will rise too much.

Rise – to move up

eg: Wait for the bread to rise.

microwave – wei bo lu

eg: You can not make bread in a microwave.

eg: One time I microwaved some chopsticks. My whole room smelled very bad after that. The chopsticks were black after.

Drug – 1. a medicine 2. a substance that you consume to change you state of consciousness, or mind.

eg: Those cancer drugs are very harmful to people.

eg: He was doing drugs and quit university.
