Vocabulary

It’s not really a restaurant, just a small place where people often eat.


Dim sum – many small dishes of cantonese food, like dumplings, fried rice, soup
e.g.: There is a pretty good dim sum place on Yuyuan lu, next to Burger King.
Cinnamon – a brown spice, that is often used with sugar, and in drinks.

Bun – a thick soft piece of bread, usually round.
e.g.; I had a cinnamon bun at the mall.
e.g.: I ate two BBQ pork buns for lunch.

Kale – a leafy green, that is high in vitamins and nutrients

Cater to – to serve someone, especially by giving them exactly what they want
Eg: They hired KFC to cater their wedding.
e.g.: The restaurant caters to Shanghai locals. They make the best Shanghainese food.
