It’s a traditional holiday. But people celebrate it like it’s Valentine’s day.

Singles day is a consumer holiday. It’s basically a fake holiday.

It’s not July 7th on the international Calendar. It’s on the Lunar Calendar.

hangman –  a game where you guess letters of a word, each guess will be one point off your score, which will be part of a stick figure drawn. Once the stick figure is completely drawn, you lose.

eg: We played hangman today.

Valentine’s Day – the romantic holiday, in USA on feb. 14th

eg: He bought a rose for his girlfriend on Valentine’s day. But his wife found it first.

Subtitles – Words in another language at the bottom of the screen

eg: When I watch English shows I read the Chinese subtitles.

eg: Americans don’t like shows or movies with subtitles. (Could be rude)

eg: Usually Americans don’t like shows or movies with subtitles. (Not as rude, Also in this case, True.)
