Two days ago, my son got a Tonsillectomy and an Adenoidectomy. We decided to get this surgery because he  catches a cold and has a runny nose every month, and he couldn’t sleep very well because of his snoring. Add that to Shanghai’s polluted air, and my son was suffering a lot and, as he’s only three, couldn’t describe it. It was a hard decision for me to let him get this surgery, seeing that he is so young, but luckily, it was a success. The morning before the surgery he couldn’t eat anything, because he was preparing for the anesthesia, I woke him up early so he could eat many things: a sandwich, a piece of bread, an orange, and a bottle of water. This was intended to reduce postoperative adverse reactions. Now he can’t eat properly, just some porridge and soft noodles, but he will recover soon.
