Vocabulary

Dorm (n): 1- a large building at a college or university where students live.
E.g.: Smoking is not permitted in college dorms.
E.g.: My mom and I were buying things for my dorm room.

Filter (v): 1- to select or remove a particular type of information from something. 2- to remove solids from liquids or gases, or to remove particular types of light, using special equipment.
E.g.: This command filters the search results by location.
E.g.: The software is great for small mobile phone screens because it filters out unnecessary information.
E.g.: Most email apps use spam filtering tools.
E.g.: The water is filtered to remove any impurities.
E.g.: Devices in the two factories would filter (out) (= remove) radioactive dust.

Liberate (v): 1- o help someone or something to be free.
E.g.: They said they sent troops in to liberate the people/the country from a dictator.​

Vulnerable (adj): 1- able to be easily physically, emotionally, or mentally hurt, influenced, or attacked:
E.g.: I felt very vulnerable, standing there without any clothes on.
E.g.: It is on economic policy that the government is most vulnerable.
E.g.: Tourists are more vulnerable to attack, because they do not know which areas of the city to avoid.
