White-collar (adj): 1- relating to people who work in offices, doing work that needs mental rather than physical effort.
E.g.: They are lobbying for white-collar workers’ rights.
Blue-collar (adj): 1- blue-collar workers do work needing strength or physical skill rather than office work.
E.g.: Blue-collar workers are fighting for better working conditions.
Wealthy (adj): 1- rich.
E.g.: He’s a very wealthy man.
E.g.: With their natural resources they are potentially a very wealthy country.
Gentrification (n): 1- the process by which a place, especially part of a city, changes from being a poor area to a richer one, where people from a higher social class live:
E.g.: Ordinary working people have been priced out of East London by gentrification.
Homophobia (n): 1- discrimination against LGBTQ people.
E.g.: We need to fight homophobia in the workplace.
