Stripe – strip

Give her a house (past tense, male object) – gave him a house

I close to my auntie – I am closest to my auntie

She can understand what I thought – she understands me

Vocabulary

Jammed – used to describe a minor sports injury to an appendage

Appendage – something attached to a larger whole (aka fingers and toes)

Duct Tape – gray or clear packaging tape

Expatriate (Expat) – someone who has residency outside of his or her home country

Connotation – the feeling associated with a word

Refugee – 难民

Acronym – a group of letters with a larger meaning

Ex. PRC = People’s Republic of China
