F2F Class Notes November 15th (Ben) [2]

I am now learning the piano and I also plan to learn the lute in 3 years. It’s no easy thing to learn the lute, and I think I should find a teacher first and they should be professional at it.

I also want to ask the teachers’ about scores because the ones of lute are very peculiar and I want to know the culture behind them. There are a lot of folk tales about the scores [and where they come from] so I also want to know about that.

I hope I can find another person who is very fond of lute and that we can keep each other company and we can study together. Also, if sometimes I get entangled or stuck then my partner can help me to get through it.

But I need to study the piano well first.

I hope to study the lute in 3 years and after that, I hope I can make a big step in understanding the traditional Chinese culture.

I started to study learn the piano one year ago and before that, I couldn’t even think that I would play it someday

I am currently busy learning to play the piano, but I also intend to take on learning the ancient lute in no more than 3 years. I’ve heard learning the lute was no easy thing, so I’m thinking of finding a teacher to guide me for my first steps.

One aspect I’d like him or her to be proficient in is the scores, as the way they are written, the history and the folk tales behind them are a bit obscure to me.

A safe bet would be to come across an ancient lute aficionado to spend time with. Together, we could keep each other company and help each other out when either of us gets stuck or entangled in technical issues.

However, before I get there, I still need to put my piano studies first. I hope I can take on lute classes within 3 years and quickly make big steps in my understanding of Chinese ancient culture.

Actually, it’s a bit crazy when you think of it. I started playing the piano no sooner than just a year ago, and I had never imagined that I would ever be playing it someday.

I wish I could be a dolphin.

I wish I can find a teacher.

I hope you are on time tomorrow.

I wish you were smarter.

When you think of it = after all,

When you think of it, a rainy day can also be very good.

What a lazy worker. He arrived to the office no sooner than 11 am and he left no later than 4 pm !

11点æ‰æ¥äº†!

I had never imagined that I would ……. someday.
