Vocabulary

soldier / 士兵

e.g. Do you want to be a Roman soldier?

dangerous / 危险

e.g. No, I do not want to be a Roman soldier because it is dangerous.

unlucky / 不幸

e.g. Also, maybe the soldier will be unlucky and die.

lazy 懒惰

e.g. Lazy students get bad grades. Leo is not a lazy student.

believe 相信

e.g. I believe my parents are the best parents in the world!

magical 神奇

e.g. I want a magical eraser! Maybe I can erase my friends with it!

liar 骗子

e.g. Children should not be liars. They should always tell the truth. (真理)

Grammar

Would you want to be a Roman soldier? Why or why not?

No, I would not want to be a Roman soldier because…

because I work a very very long time / because being a Roman soldier is hard work / because if I was a Roman soldier, I would have to work very hard.

I eat food is very bad / Also, the food tastes (口味) very bad. 

I go away my parents long time and this makes me feel sad / Finally, I must leave my parents for a long time — this makes me so sad.

“Would” you want = Think about it…use your imagination (想象)

“Would you” = Do you want it? Yes or No.

Leo, should we live on the moon? Why or why not?

Yes, we should live on the moon…

because…here I not have my father and mother, I can fly in there / because on the moon I won’t have my mother or father so I can go anywhere I want.

Also…I can make many house and I can eat and sleep in here /Also, I can make many houses and I can eat and sleep in those houses.

Finally…I can observe (观察) aliens （外星人）/ Finally, maybe…I can observe/see aliens.
