Vocabulary

the zodiac (n): 生肖 1-(in the study of the planets and their influence on life) an area of the sky through which the sun, moon, and most of the planets appear to move, divided into twelve equal parts, each with a name and symbol, and each connected with an exact time of year:
E.g.: the signs of the zodiac

general (n): 上将; 1-an officer of very high rank, especially in the army:
E.g.: He was promoted to the rank of general.
E.g.: General Brown/Roger Brown

character (n)(IN A STORY)-a person represented in a film, play, or story:
E.g.: The film revolves around three main characters.
E.g.: She had Mickey Mouse or some other cartoon/Disney character on her sweater.
E.g.: He made his name as a character actor (= an actor who plays unusual and often humorous people).

character (n): 1- the particular combination of qualities in a person or place that makes them different from others:
E.g.: Politeness is traditionally part of the British character.
E.g.: One of the joys of being a parent is watching the child’s character develop.
E.g.: It’s not in his character to be (= he is not usually) jealous.

current (adj): 1-of the present time:
E.g.: Have you seen the current issue of (= the most recently published) Vogue magazine?
E.g.: The word is no longer in current use.

Speaking exercise

I read a book named called “Little women”. The book had 5 roles and they had different characters. I talk about a family had five people, 3 children and 2 parents. Old sister really kind, middle sister really stingy and little sister really selfish. One day their father got a sick and they thought their father will be dead, so their mother move to they father place to take care him, cause his father was a general. Few months later their father didn’t become better so they very worried about it and they wrote many letters to their father to ask the situation (ask how doe’s he feel) And those sisters immediately to think about them what did they usually do, so they started criticizing them self. And they recognized they needed to help each other and don’t thing about just themselves.

They realized that they needed to help each other and not only thing about themselves.
