Vocabulary

retreat (n): 1-静修. 2-a period of time used to pray and study quietly, or to think carefully, away from normal activities and duties:
E.g.: We went on (a) retreat at/to a monastery in Wales.
E.g.: I would love to go to a yoga retreat.

retreat (v): 1-to go away from a place or person in order to escape from fighting or danger:
E.g.: Attacks by enemy aircraft forced the tanks to retreat (from the city).

flag (n): 1-国旗. 2-a piece of cloth, usually rectangular and attached to a pole at one edge, that has a pattern that shows it represents a country or a group, or has a particular meaning:
E.g.: Flags of all the participating countries are flying outside the stadium.

pattern (n): 1- any regularly repeated arrangement, especially a design made from repeated lines, shapes, or colours on a surface:
E.g.: The curtains had a floral pattern.

curtain (n): 1-窗帘. 2-a piece of material, especially cloth, that hangs across a window or opening to make a room or part of a room dark or private:
E.g.: Heavy curtains blocked out the sunlight.
