proximity (n): the state of being near in space or time:
E.g.: The best thing about the location of the house is its proximity to the town centre.
en suite (adj): used to describe a bathroom that is directly connected to a bedroom, or a bedroom that is connected to a bathroom:
E.g.: All four bedrooms in their new house are en suite.
snorkeling (n): 浮潜
E.g.: We went snorkeling off the coast of Key West.
scuba diving (n): 1-the sport of swimming underwater with special breathing equipment
make fun of sb/sth-to make a joke about someone or something in a way that is not kind:
E.g.:The other children were always making fun of him because he was fat and wore glasses.
schengen visa-申根签证
lingua franca (n)-a language used for communication between groups of people who speak different languages :
E.g.: The international business community sees English as a lingua franca.
excuse/pardon my French!-said when you are pretending to be sorry for using a word that may be considered offensive:
E.g.: Pardon my French, but that’s a complete BS!
