pretentious (adj):自命不凡的, trying to appear or sound more important or clever than you are
E.g.: She’s a pretentious person
wonder (v)-想知道, to ask yourself questions or express a wish to know about something:
E.g.: Shouldn’t you phone home? Your parents will be wondering where you are.
E.g.: I wonder what’s the right way to educate my daughter/I wonder how to educate my daughter
2-used in phrases, at the beginning of a request, to make it more formal and polite:
E.g.: I wonder if you could give me some information about places to visit in the area?
accent-口音 the way someone speaks
tease (v): 1-to laugh at someone or say unkind things about them, either because you are joking or because you want to upset that person:
E.g.: They teased him constantly about his accent.
E.g.: I teased my classmate about his exam marks
E.g.: I constantly tease my husband about his blabbing.
constantly (adj): 1-不断地, all the time or often:
E.g.: She has the TV on constantly.
E.g.: He’s constantly changing his mind.
blab (v): to talk too much or speak without thinking:
E.g.: She just blabs to anyone who will listen.
