down payment (n): 首付款, an amount of money that you pay at the time that you buy something but is only a part of the total cost of that thing. You usually pay the rest of the cost over a period of time:
E.g.: I made/put a down payment on a new smart TV.

long term/short term

loan– (n) an amount of money that is borrowed, often from a bank, and has to be paid back, usually together with an extra amount of money that you have to pay as a charge for borrowing:
E.g.: She’s trying to get a $50,000 loan to start her own business.
E.g.: We could apply for/take out a loan to buy a car.

lease (v): 1-to use or allow someone else to use land, property, etc. for an agreed period of time in exchange for money:
E.g.: I leased my new car instead of buying it.

lease (n): a legal agreement in which you pay money in order to use a building, piece of land, vehicle, etc. for a period:
E.g.: He has the house on a long lease.
E.g.: The lease runs out/expires in two years’ time.
E.g.: We signed a three-year lease when we moved into the house.
