defective (adj): 1- Something that is defective has a fault in it and does not work correctly:
E.g.: defective brakes
E.g.: defective eyesight
E.g.: a defective gene
pharmacy (n): 1- a shop or part of a shop in which medicines are prepared and sold
E.g.: Make sure you understand exactly how to take your medicines before you leave the pharmacy.
deviate (v): å离, to change from the usual way, or to go in a different direction:
E.g.: He never deviated from his strict vegetarian diet.
benefit (n): 1-a helpful or good effect, or something intended to help:
E.g.: The discovery of oil brought many benefits to the town.
E.g.: One of the many benefits of foreign travel is learning how to cope with the unexpected.
hypothetical (adj): å‡æƒ³;1-imagined or suggested but not necessarily real or true:
E.g.: a hypothetical example/situation
E.g.: This is all very hypothetical but supposing Jackie got the job, how would that affect you?
hypothesis (n): 1- an idea or explanation for something that is based on known facts but has not yet been proved:
E.g.: Several hypotheses for global warming have been suggested.

E.g.: The city has put the brakes on further spending.
infrastructure (n):基础设施, the basic systems and services, such as transport and power supplies, that a country or organization uses in order to work effectively:
E.g.: The war has badly damaged the country’s infrastructure.
