Vocabulary

strange (guy)- unusual and weird, or difficult to understand:

stranger (n): someone you do not know:-Do not confuse with foreigner (= a person from another country).
E.g.: My mother always warned me not to talk to strangers.

hobby (n): 1- an activity that someone does for pleasure when they are not working:
E.g.: I need a hobby to keep me busy.
E.g.: Sonya’s hobbies include traveling, sailing, and reading fiction.

habit (n): 1- something that you do often and regularly, sometimes without knowing that you are doing it:
E.g.: I used to swim twice a week, but I seem to have got out of (= ended) the habit recently.
E.g.: It’s so hard to stop smoking when it’s been a lifelong habit.

inferior (adj): not good, or not as good as someone or something else:
E.g.: These products are inferior to those we bought last year.
E.g.: intellectually/morally/socially inferior.

superior (adj): better than average or better than other people or things of the same type:
E.g.: This is clearly the work of a superior scientist.
2- (disapproving) A superior person believes that or acts as if they are better than other people:
E.g.: a superior manner/smile
E.g.: I can’t stand Amanda – she’s so superior.

photographer (n): 1-a person who takes photographs, either as a job or hobby:
E.g.: a fashion/press/amateur photographer

E.g.: She’s a professional photographer.
