Vocabulary

alumnus (n): 1-someone who has left a school, college, or university after finishing their studies there:
E.g.: the alumni of St MacNissi’s College
E.g.: Several famous alumni have agreed to help raise money for the school’s restoration fund.

trend (n): 1-a new development in clothing, make-up, etc.:
E.g.: Whatever the latest fashion trend, you can be sure Nicki will be wearing it.
E.g.: The trend at the moment is for a more natural and less made-up look.

tendency (n): 1-If there is a tendency for something to happen, it is likely to happen or it often happens:
E.g.: There is a tendency for unemployment to rise in the summer.

faculty (n): 1- a group of departments in a college that specialize in a particular subject or group of subjects:
E.g.: the Psychology/Law Faculty

MONOPOLY-垄断, (an organization or group that has) complete control of something, especially an area of business, so that others have no share:

nuanced (adj): 1-made slightly different in appearance, meaning, sound, etc.:
E.g.: His London accent is very slightly nuanced by an occasional Russian pronunciation.
