Dave used to drive a taxi . A short while ago, however he became a bus driver and he has not regretted it. He is finding his new job far more exciting. While he was driving along East Nanjing road recently, he saw two thieves rushing out of a shop and running towards a waiting car. One of them was carrying a bag full of money. Dave acted quickly and drove the bus straight at the thieves. The one with the money got such a fright that he dropped the bag, as the thieves were trying to get away in their car, Dave drove his bus into the back of it.

While the battered car was moving away, Dave stopped bus and telephoned the police. Their car was badly damaged and easy to recognize. Shortly afterward, the police stopped the car and both of them were arrested.

glance (v): 1- to give a quick short look:
E.g.: She glanced around/round the room to see who was there.
E.g.: He glanced up from his book as I passed.
