Vocabulary

Nut (n)-坚果, the dry fruit of particular trees that grows in a hard shell and can often be eaten:
E.g.: a Brazil/cashew nut
E.g.: “I’m allergic to nuts.” “So is my brother.”

allergy (n): 1- 过敏 a condition that makes a person become sick or develop skin or breathing problems because they have eaten certain foods or been near certain substances:
E.g.： an allergy to cats
E.g.： a seafood allergy

allergic (adj): having an allergy:
E.g.: I’m allergic to cats.

fridge (n)冰箱, a piece of kitchen equipment that uses electricity to preserve food at a cold temperature:
E.g.: Don’t forget to put the milk back in the fridge.

renovation (n)翻新, the process of repairing and improving a building so that it is in good condition again, or the improvements that are carried out:
E.g.: We had to move out of the offices while the renovations were being done.

at least-至少, used to say that something is good in a bad situation:
E.g.: It’s a small house but at least there’s a garden.
