Vocabulary

diabetes-糖尿病, a disease in which the body cannot control the level of sugar in the blood

coma (n)昏迷, a state in which a person is unconscious and cannot be woken, caused by damage to the brain after an accident or illness:
E.g.: He’s been in a coma for the past six weeks.
E.g.: She went into a deep coma after taking an overdose of sleeping pills.

enterprise (n): 1-an organization, especially a business, or a difficult and important plan, especially one that will earn money:
E.g.: Don’t forget this is a commercial enterprise – we’re here to make money.
E.g.: Those were the years of private enterprise (= businesses being run privately, rather than by the government), when lots of small businesses were started.

dose (n)剂量, a measured amount of something such as medicine:
E.g.: a high/low dose
E.g.: a dose of penicillin
E.g.: The label says to take one dose three times a day.

dose (v): 1-to give someone a measured amount of medicine:
E.g.: He dosed himself (up) with valium to calm his nerves.

unconscious (adj): 1-in the state of not being awake, especially as the result of a head injury:
E.g.: She was hit on the head by a stone and knocked unconscious.
