sentry (n): a soldier who guards a place, usually by standing at its entrance:
E.g.: My squad were on sentry duty last night.

sapper (n): 1-a soldier employed in the construction of fortifications, trenches, or tunnels that approach or undermine enemy positions.

trench (n): 1-a deep hole dug by soldiers and used as a place from which they can attack the enemy while being hidden:
E.g.: the trenches of the First World War
E.g.: trench warfare

dispute (n): 1-an argument or disagreement, especially an official one between, for example, workers and employers or two countries with a common border:
E.g.: a bitter/long-running dispute
E.g.: a border dispute
