loafers (n)-便鞋 2-a type of leather shoe without a fastening, that a person’s foot slides into

fasten (v): 1-to (cause something to) become firmly fixed together, or in position, or closed:
E.g.: Make sure your seat belt is securely fastened.
E.g.: This shirt fastens at the back.

injury (n): 1-损伤. 2- physical harm or damage to someone’s body caused by an accident or an attack:
E.g.: a head/back/knee injury
E.g.: Several train passengers received/sustained serious injuries in the crash.
E.g.: Injuries to the spine are common among these workers.

injure (v): 1-to hurt or cause physical harm to a person or animal:
E.g.: A bomb exploded at the embassy, injuring several people.
E.g.: She fell and injured her shoulder.

explode (v): 1-to break up into pieces violently, or to cause something to do this:
E.g.: A bomb exploded at one of the capital’s busiest railway stations this morning.
E.g.: He was driving so fast that his car tyre exploded.

minus (prep): 1- reduced by a stated number:
E.g.: What is 57 minus 39? 57-39=18
E.g.: That will be $1,500, minus the deposit of $150 that you already paid.
