Vocabulary

get a bang out of-to enjoy (something) very much.
E.g.: I get a bang out of taking the kids to the amusement park.
E.g.: She got a bang out of watching her grandson play at the beach.

send out for (doctor/something): 1- to send someone in order to bring other person, in this case doctor. 2-to ask a restaurant to deliver (food) to one’s location.
E.g.: We sent out for pizza.

to stop by-to make a brief visit on one’s way elsewhere
E.g.: I’ll stop by on my way home.
E.g.: Feel free to stop by anytime.

grippe (n): 1-a virus disease that is the same as or very much like influenza. 2-流行性感冒.
E.g.: Mrs. Brandeis was ill for three weeks with grippe.

irritate (v): 1-to cause impatience, anger, or displeasure. 2– to annoy.
E.g.: The other passengers were irritated by the child’s rudeness.

nodding (v): 1-to bend the head downward or forward. 2– to show by a nod of the head- saying yes by moving your head up and down.
E.g.: He caught his balance and rested against the tree, nodding in satisfaction.

alternative(n): 1-one of the things, propositions, or courses of action that can be chosen
E.g.: You have the alternative of riding or walking.
2-being one of the things between which a choice is to be made .
E.g.:Scientists are developing an alternative approach to treating the disease.

agnostic (n): 1-a person who believes that whether God exists is not known and probably cannot be known.
E.g.: I call myself an agnostic. I do not really have any faith, any coherent religious faith.

atheist (n): 1-a person who does not believe in the existence of a god or any gods.

hemisphere (n): 1-one of the halves of the earth as divided by the equator or by a meridian.
E.g.: Australia is in South Hemisphere.
