fulfill (v): 1- to do something that is expected, hoped for, or promised, or to cause it to happen:
E.g.: E.g.: A school fails if it does not fulfill the needs/requirements of its pupils.
E.g.: At the age of 45, she finally fulfilled her ambition to run a marathon.
E.g.: Zoos fulfill an important function in the protection of rare species.
E.g.: He has failed to fulfill his duties as a father.
patronize (v): 1- to speak to or behave towards someone as if they are stupid or not important:
E.g.: Stop patronizing me – I understand the play as well as you do.
patronizing (adj): 1-speaking or behaving towards someone as if they are stupid or not important:
E.g.: It’s that patronizing tone of hers that I can’t bear.
