Vocabulary

topical (adj): 1- A topical medical product is used on the outside of the body:
E.g.: This lotion is for topical application only.

nautical (adj): 1-relating to ships, sailing, or sailors:
E.g.: nautical equipment
E.g.: You’re looking very nautical in your navy blue sweater.

oar (n): 1-a long pole with a wide, flat part at one end, used for rowing a boat:
E.g.: a pair of oars
E.g.: She dipped her oars into the water and pulled.
oar=paddle

row (n): 1-the activity of making a boat move through water using oars (= poles with flat ends):
E.g.: They’ve gone for a row to the island.

row (v): 1- to cause a boat to move through water by pushing against the water with oars (= poles with flat ends):
E.g.: The wind dropped, so we had to row (the boat) back home.

recession (n): 1-a period when the economy of a country is not successful and conditions for business are bad:
E.g.: The country is sliding into the depths of (a) recession.
E.g.: The recession has led to many small businesses going bankrupt.

after recession comes the recovery which gets the economy back to where it was, and beyond that is growth, and something that goes way beyond breaking even, or just goes above very fast, would be called a boom.
