a cappella (adj): 1-sung by a group of people without any musical instruments
-Choral singing performed without instruments. The expression means “in chapel style” in Italian. Centuries ago, religious music composed for use in chapels — which, unlike large churches, had no organs — was usually for voices only.

fresco (n)(a picture made by) painting on wet plaster on a wall or ceiling:
Michelangelo’s famous frescoes are in the Sistine Chapel.

crucifix (n): 1-a model or picture representing Jesus Christ on a cross:
E.g.: She always wears a small gold crucifix round her neck.
