Vocabulary

fraction (n): 1-a number that results from dividing one whole number by another:
E.g.: ¼ and 0.25 are different ways of representing the same fraction.
2-a small part of something, or a small amount:
E.g.: Although sexual and violent crimes have increased by 13 percent, they remain only a tiny/small fraction of the total number of crimes committed each year.
E.g.: They can produce it at a fraction of the cost of (= much more cheaply than) traditional methods.

faction (n): 1-a group within a larger group, especially one with slightly different ideas from the main group:
E.g.: the left-wing faction of the party
