Vocabulary

fetus (n): 1-a young human being or animal before birth, after the organs have started to develop

embryo (n): 1-an animal that is developing either in its mother’s womb or in an egg, or a plant that is developing in a seed:
E.g.: Between the eighth week of development and birth a human embryo is called a fetus.

spleen (n): 1- an organ near the stomach that produces and cleans the body’s blood. 2-脾

gall bladder (n): 1-a small organ in the body, connected to the liver, that stores bile (= a bitter liquid that helps to digest food): 2-胆囊.
E.g.: She had an operation to remove a stone from her gall bladder.

pancreas (n): 1-an organ in the body that produces insulin (= a chemical substance that controls the amount of sugar in the blood) and substances that help to digest food so that it can be used by the body. 2-胰腺

primates (n): 1-a member of the most developed and intelligent group of mammals, including humans, monkeys, and apes

condom (n): 1-a thin rubber covering that a man can wear on his penis during sex to stop a woman becoming pregnant or to protect him or his partner against infectious diseases
