《The Normal Heart》is an affecting movie. tough and brutal, It showed a honest fight for love, for life and for a civil right.
I haven’t seen a lot of films about AIDS before. When I sat down to watch it, I cannot find some words to say how much I was shocked, heartbroken, angered and moved.
This is a most important movie, especially for someone like me who have no idea what happened in the early hard days of the AIDS birth. No doubt,it’s truly one of the great movies I have seen in years.
Ned is a bold. If not for the efforts of some people like Ned and the gay group get funding for research when the government people couldn’t realize there was a problem, who knows how many more people have died and would be dying today. When I saw Felix who is his lover saying in the farewell time “ You find a way to fight again.” It’s really moving me deeply.
Even though sometimes the world lacks goodwill,I hope that everyone could go forward with the courage.
I couldn’t stop sobbing when I watched the scene that Ned and Felix were getting married in the hospital.Touching and heartwarming , the love that lives in the heart, cannot be so easily terminated by time. everyone deserves a great love.
But it’s truly heartbreaking for the farewell.Felix once said in Ned’s arms:”Oh,please,God.Give us one more year.” Sometimes, love is be together, that beyonds sex, beyonds marriage.
It was moving me so much to make me cry more than once.I think everyone definitely need to watch this movie, whoever you are gay or not.
Do honor to those brave people and those who affected by AIDS.
