What are the signs of a mature person?

In general, we will say someone is mature enough when he/she can deal with their own problems independently. But most of the time, we say someone is mature, it means they have high emotional intelligence quotient.

No matter in what kind of occasions, a mature person know how to express themselves without offending others. They know how to communicate or negotiate with others rationally even when they’re angry or depressed. It doesn’t mean they don’t express their feelings. Sometimes people can’t divide what different between a reasonable person and a suppressed person. They’re all look rational in some way, however mature people won’t wrong themselves or deny their feelings. They know when should fight for their principals and sometimes need to compromise.

No matter in what kind of occasions, a mature person knows how to express himself/herself without offending others. They know how to communicate or negotiate with others rationally even when they’re angry or depressed. It doesn’t mean they don’t express their feelings,  they know how to behave professionally and do the socially acceptable thing even when they are not in the right mood/they just do it in a way that keeps their emotional health at a high level and does not offend others. They’re all look rational in some way, however, mature people won’t compromise themselves or deny their feelings. They know when to fight for their principles and when to give in.

A mature person is 100% responsible. In business, they’re willing to take a lead and take the responsibility. In relationship, they pay attention on each other and maintain their relationship in promised. They won’t just escape from difficulties but trying to find the way out. It’s impossible to let their parents, family or friends dealing with the problems they caused.

So there are 3 elements I think a mature person have. First is the ability of solving problems. Second, good to manage their own emotions. Third is the most important, take the responsibility in their life.
