I totally agree with western way marriage that is only about the couples, not their families.
Because if people let their family to join the marriage, even then a small shit can be complicated. And what ridiculous is they don’t live your life but you let them to command your marriage. That’s not very wise in my opinion.
People must distinguish between the family they’re going to build up, and people other than their own family. Of course the original families are not included in their own one, those are the families their parents create, not themselves.

In China traditional culture, marriage is always about each other’s families, what funny is actually they don’t really care about the couples, other family members just want to show their power and influence in the marriage which don’t belong to them. Especially the parents, they want to control and have their children’s lives forever.There is no respect in their mind, because they think they have right to be emotional when the couples don’t follow their well. And most of time, people say inter-relationships are more about women’s cooperation, so the point is men’s original family. I see no attraction in this kind of marriage life.

In my opinion, people think about inter-relationship so wrong way. It’s not about others, it’s for two people together, and they of course bring many experiences from their original families to this relationship, and learn how to run in with each other and create their own families and make their own rules.
Inter-family relationship is a joke, it can be exited when a party in marriage keep compromising or there will be a fight between two families, and when it happens in dual-relationship, there are only two people fight, not so complicated and no family honor or other’s benefits.

I believe the real inter-family relationship only happens in someone has big family company or a big title have to inherit, benefits will tie them together. If no, then just forget about the idea, it’s toxic. But if someone in a inter-relationship want to protect and keep their own family run well, they need to keep their own families independent.
Anyway, I think inter-family relationship and dual-relationship are ideas. And inter-family relationship doesn’t work to me. Find someone with similar ideas as oneself is the most important thing.
