Vocabulary

Persimmon (shizi)- An orange fruit that is well loved in China.

e.g. In Ancient Greece, they believed that eating persimmons would make you forget your country.

Peninsula (ban dao)-When a part of the mainland extends into the sea. Also a famous hotel brand.

e.g. I heard that whenever the Queen of England visits Hong Kong she stays at the Peninsula.

Art Deco- A style from the 1960’s that has lots of metal materials, gold colors, and many patterns.

e.g. My dream apartment would be decorated in an art deco style.

Bulk- In large quantities

e.g. Sam’s Club is a supermarket that only sells in bulk.

I didn’t go to my Italian class, always asks for leave, be instead of her. Just want to have a good rest and to get up later, and in the afternoon, I took my son and family to the supermarket Sam’s Club, because the Sam’s market can always give you some trial food, so we just shop and choose some foods, and also he can get some small foods, so yes its always a choice for us for weekends. On Sunday I brought my son to the class as usual, and i just be with him the whole day I feel really tired. Because he was just get the vaccine, so he is not that comfortable, and ask for more.
