Salespeople like to exaggerate and tell you that you can do 10 things with their product when you can only do one.

a stereotype = a fixed idea many people have about your people, but which might not be true

The stereotype about salespeople is that they are all ignorant and liars.

a smooth talker = someone who speaks very well and can convince you of anything

This sales guy is a real smooth talker. He could sell sand in the desert.
