staff = all the people working in a company
I work with all the staff. The staff is really nice.

procrastinate = 拖延时间 to waste time on useless things instead of working
People who procrastinate end up sad.

sleepy = who wants to sleep
I am so sleepy.

sleepiness = the state of being sleepy
Sleepiness causes traffic accidents.
When you panic, your sleepiness disappears.

immune (adj) = 免疫
Nobody is immune to sleepiness.

mood = state of mind
I am in a good mood. I am in a bad mood.
Some people can control their mood.

an acquaintance = someone who are acquainted with, a friend, someone familiar
I don’t have many friends but I have many acquaintances.

walk past = 擦肩而过
I walk past my compound’s security guard every morning and every evening.
My neighbor and I walk past each other every day.

a compound = a neighborhood with many apartments 公寓
There are 40 apartments in my compound.
