Vocabulary
depression = 抑郁症 a medical condition in which a person feels very sad and anxious and often has physical symptoms such as being unable to sleep
commit suicide = kill yourself
feel sympathy 感同身受
She attempted to commit suicide but she lived. I really feel sympathy for her and I hope she gets better.
From my perspective

take something for granted = 认为···是理所当然的
Many people do not have everything we take for granted everyday: safety, food and water.
We take food and water for granted but it’s actually crazy that we can get them in just 1 minute.
Everyone takes my hard work for granted, but I will not keep on working that hard forever.
unexpected = that you can’t expect
Life is unexpected, so you should stay optimistic.
I told them what they wanted to hear.
I did my best, but people asked too much from me.
Depression comes from many different things : stress, being asked too much and the feeling that your efforts are always taken for granted.
