Greetings = way to greet people
How are you? 你好吗?
– I’m fine
– Good / Not good

How are things today?

– Today is a little messy / slow / hectic (busy and messy)

How have you been? 你最近怎么样?

What did you do today?

Long time no see / I haven’t seen you for a while. =  It’s been a while !

It’s been = It has been

What are you up to ? = way to ask “What have you been doing recently?”

out of = ~for, because of, for the sake of

I take care of my daughter out of love for her.

Out of curiosity, what did you do yesterday? 在好奇的驱使下

I learn English out of interest.

Vocabulary

Today is a bit messy.

sportsmanship = the good way to behave when competing against someone

The referee 裁判 granted my team a penalty 点球 but I told him that we didn’t deserve it, because the other team hadn’t made any mistake. Sportsmanship is important in football.

One player scored against his own team 乌龙球, so the other team did the same, out of sportsmanship.
