Vocabulary

a digression = a story away from the main topic of discussion

If you make too many digressions, people cannot follow you.

a grandchild = the child of your child

dexterity = the ability to use your fingers

Magic takes a lot of dexterity.

the last straw (that broke the camel’s back) = the last of a series that causes a violent reaction

I usually don’t speak up for myself. I bear things in silence until people reach the last straw / until people get to the end of my patience (底线)
