Hypothetical situations 虚拟情况:

will –> would

can –> could

With a house and a car, I will be happy – REAL = in the future, in two years, when I am old

With a house and a car, I would be happy – HYPOTHETICAL 虚拟的 = in a dream, in a perfect world.

With a million dollars, I will buy a house =  I have one million dollars

With a million dollars, I would buy a house =  I don’t have one million dollars

That’s mean –> That means

my wife’s sister = my sister-in-law

I spent one hour to do –> I spent one hour doing

I spent one hour going  to my sister-in-law’s home and coming back / returning home.

Sometimes you can use 2 prepositions together 介词

I spent one hour going to and from my sister-in-law’s home.

I walked in and out the building.

I have fought with and against him.

You should be able to work with or without help.

1 direction : one-way trip

2 directions: round-way trip (=one way trip + return trip / way back trip)
