come off as = be seen as, look, sound

If someone attacks you, it’s better not to do anything, or else you might come off as the bad guy.

You know, sometimes you come off as very condescending.

have white knuckles = be stressed about something, like if you clenched on something for a long time

hit up = go somewhere, call someone, ask for something

I’m out of cash, I need to hit up an ATM.

I’m gonna hit up my parents for some cash.

get off on = to be aroused by = to get a kick out of (enjoy an activity)

I get off on tall women. They turn me on.

I get a kick out of talking to them.

spring / sprang (= sprung) / sprung = jump on (for good or bad reasons)

spring someone = help someone escape (from prison)
